Seahorse Stables is a small friendly run riding school offering qualified instruction on well schooled horses and ponies.
All abilities catered for from the age of 5.
Lessons are available all year round Monday to Saturday.
Facilities include an indoor and outdoor school so weather is not a problem.
Hacking is also available all year with miles of off road routes including beach rides and farmland.
Longer Trail rides available by arrangement.
For first timers, little ones or those who would just like a wee shot, try our half hour pony walks that will give you a
taster without making you work too hard!
Children can start lessons from the age of 5.
It is recommended that they start half hour private lessons until the basics are established.
Once able to control the ponies safely they can join hour group lessons which are kept to a maximum of 6 to ensure everyone gets plenty of instruction.
Adult lessons also available or choose to learn outside on an instructional hack.
All lessons are taught by BHS qualified instructors.
Seahorse Stables offers different bands of full livery tailored to suit each persons individual requirements.
On a basic full livery the horses are stabled during the night, in spacious 12ftx12ft stables and turned out daily.
They are checked regularly throughout the day and a final check last thing at night when hay racks are topped up.
Schooling livery can be arranged by requirement whether short term to help sort out a problem, while your on holiday or on a regular basis.
Throughout the summer months horses can be turned out 24/7 or remain stabled through part of the day.
Livery includes full use of all facilities including the indoor, outdoor arenas and jumping paddock.
Liveries can book lessons for a reduced rate with our instructors.

Seahorse stables is an approved pony club centre, we meet every fortnight for stable management and riding sessions.
The pony club is a good way for children to learn and experience all aspects of horse and pony care.
Whilst learning and having fun the pony clubbers are also working towards achievement badges and progressive riding tests.
Extra activities are arranged throughout the school holidays including fun days, treasure hunts, picnic rides, Easter egg hunts, where the children can use there skills and knowledge to win rosettes.
Outings are also arranged to help the children with
some of the achievement badges.
